StraiTek specializes in producing custom silicone rubber prototypes using a diverse range of flexible shore A materials. Our streamlined process ensures fast turnaround times, getting parts to you within days, rather than weeks. With carefully designed CNC machined molds and the utilization of RTV silicones, we guarantee the production of high-quality silicone parts in quantities ranging from 1 to 100.

Based on their unique properties and versatility, silicone parts are used in numerous industries. Common applications include gaskets, seals, valves, and more.

Our cast silicone prototypes feature:

  • Sound thermal properties (most offer heat resistance over 400°F)
  • Moisture and chemical resistance
  • Excellent release characteristics. Silicone’s non-stick properties are unparalleled.
  • UV stability. Ultraviolet light has little impact on the physical characteristics of the material.

Our Custom Silicone Prototype Parts Process

We begin by working with your 3D CAD data, which serves as the foundation for creating your custom silicone rubber prototype. Our team reviews the design specifications, ensuring that all necessary details and features are considered.

Based on your design, we use CNC machining techniques to create precise, accurate molds or tools, all carefully engineered to produce the desired shape and dimensions of the final silicone part. Our CNC and EDM expertise guarantee exceptional precision and repeatability throughout the manufacturing process.

We offer a wide range of flexible Shore A materials – from 30 to 90 durometers – suitable for custom silicone rubber prototypes. We have the right material to match your specific application requirements.

During the casting process, we utilize room-temperature vulcanization (RTV) silicones, which are poured into the mold to cure. This method offers accurate replication of intricate details and dimensional accuracy.

Throughout the production run, we meticulously inspect each silicone part, verifying its conformity to the design specifications and ensuring consistent quality. This attention to detail guarantees that you receive prototypes that meet or exceed your expectations.
