Since 2013, privately owned StraiTek has specialized in high-precision, low-volume CNC machining, rapid tooling, and injection molding. With nearly 80 years of combined experience, StraiTek welcomes some of the most challenging projects the industry has to offer. During the past decade, we have continuously upgraded equipment, invested in new resources, and expanded capabilities while improving our service and quality to stay ahead of rigorous and competitive industry standards.
About Brian Straiton and Our History
StraiTek founder and CEO Brian Straiton began in the manufacturing industry as a teenager working in his grandfather’s ball bearing business, Ball and Roller Bearing Company in New Milford, which is still in operation today.
The company served as a learning environment for Brian, helping him hone his industry knowledge and expertise and develop an interest in plastics and injection molding.
That experience eventually led to a position as general manager for a prototyping firm in New York State, and then to the founding of StraiTek, LLC.
“They were consolidating, and I had the chance to purchase some of the equipment they no longer needed at an affordable cost,” he notes. “It was an incredible opportunity in an industry that normally takes a lot of capital upfront just to get started.”
StraiTek debuted in New Milford in 2013. In 2016, three years of double-digit growth forced a move into larger quarters. StraiTek found a new 9,000-square-foot home in Commerce Park in Danbury, where the firm remains today.
